My name is Lee Ann Rust. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have been on the back of a horse since before I can remember and I had the dream of going to the National Finals Rodeo since the age of four. My parents were both excellent horsemen and encouraged me in my equine pursuits. I rodeoed through college and then “Life Happened”. I spent 24years in animal health and human pharmaceuticals. I was fortunate enough to have a colt that I raised (Harley) that had the heart and talent it took to finally have that dream come true. In 2011 I got my Pro Card at the ‘tender age’ of 53 and Harley and I made 300,000 miles and 300 runs in 3 years. Our first year on the road (2011) we won the Women’s Professional Rodeo Assoc. Rookie of the Year, Texas Circuit Rookie of the Year, and made the All American Finals and the Canadian Finals Rodeo and most of all a ton of friends. Our second year (2012) we were Alberta Circuit Champions and made the All American Finals, Canadian Finals Rodeo, and the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, NV. Although we fell a little short on becoming a World Champion at The National Finals in 2012 we went down the road again in 2013 until I realized my true calling.
While on the “Rodeo Road” I learned so much about myself, my horse, how to ride him to get out of his way, how to strengthen him and options to care for him in a way I had never known existed.
My goal and intention is to share with you what I have learned and increase your awareness and consciousness of what you are doing and why you are doing it. Then offer you options to upgrade yourself, your horse and your relationship together.
